• The American Fuse
Clint Phillips
Kinley Wolfe
JT Dayton
Nate Fowler
Just when you thought the Dallas music scene was dead or dying and in need of a kick in the ass, along comes a gig that sets the buzz back in motion. That gig was The American Fuse opening for the Reverend Horton Heat at La Grange on a perfect night in April, Friday the 13th.
Dallas veterans The American Fuse include, Clint "The Punisher" Phillips on drums, Nate Fowler on guitar and vocals, Kinley Wolfe on Bass and vocals and the latest member, JT Dayton on guitar and backup vocals. Combining the years and the bands each of these musicians have played in is amazing. From Black Oak Arkansas, Sixty-Six, Grand Pricks, Seventy-Six, Lone Star Trio, The Gorehounds, Lord Tracy and The Cult are just a few that come to mind. The Fuse have paid their dues!
Those who know The American Fuse understand the excitement this band brings to a live gig. Getting to open for the righteous Reverend Horton Heat just makes the icing on the cake that much sweeter. In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of The Reverend Horton Heat and presented byPabst Blue Ribbon Beer, the Rev is set to play 6 SPECIAL SHOWS in small venues located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area beginning at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton, La Grange, The Prophet Bar, Club Dada, all in Deep Ellum, Lola's in Fort Worth, and Hat Tricks in Lewisville before heading out to the east coast and abroad. And on a personal note to the Rev, good move bringing back Scott Churilla on drums.
Opening for the Rev was an honor for The Fuse, as they were asked personally by front man Jim Heath. The band, who has not played in over a years time, rehearsed two nights prior to the La Grange show. Tight but loose, American Fuse were simply fan-fuckin-tastic! Their 45 minute set included familiar songs from the Debut release, One Fell Swoop (Idol Records) like "Texas Speedball", "Ride My Motor", "Blame the Whiskey" and the classic, "Don't Chingale My Chevrolet" which ended their set. The newer songs, that should be on their next release were "Old Debt", "Wear You Out" and "Me & My Friends", which was surprisingly written by Clint during one of their songs (jokingly).

What's in the near future for The Fuse?...well, getting out that long awaited second release is the latest news straight from the bands camp and hopefully playing a few more gigs here and there in around Dallas. Let's face it, 12 months is way too fucking long of a wait to see this band perform again.
Dallas 3 Piece Post Punk Band Sayonara Gearing Up For Their First Full CD Release
Not Your Average Cookie-Cutter Rock Band
• Sayonara
Debbie Pucek
Sean Blythe
Jonny Williams
Dallas based three piece band Sayonara, falls under the genre of Alternative Avant Garde Post Punk but delivers much more than that title describes. Their sound is fairly unique with smooth vocals by Debbie Pucek who is the singer, guitarist and songwriter for the group.
"Right now, the focus is writing and creating a buzz around the area. We know we have something no other cookie-cutter pop/indie/metal has and we're assembling to bring this much needed change to Dallas."
Working steadily, writing and recording via their mobile studio and practice space, Sayonara is working towards a full length CD that will be mastered by Kerry Kelecovich of Lilypad Records in Woodstock, Illinois. Collaborating with several producers to achieve the right sound and overall feel of their music, the band is taking their time to do it up right. When asked to describe their music Debbie states, "Our sound is evolving from what people are hearing from us on the Internet. Our newer, unrecorded, material is A LOT edgier and heavier. You can really hear the Blood Brothers' / Yeah Yeah Yeahs' influence. We're getting wonderful responses to the new songs."
Sayonara is busy giggin' around the DFW area with shows every weekend. One of the biggest up-coming shows is an acoustic performance as the opening act for Fair to Midland on March 31st at Andy's Bar in Denton.
Check out their new YouTube music video for the song "Mothership" and catch them live.

Acclaimed Veteran Dallas Rockers '76' Hit It Hard At La Grange
Beers, Cheers, Guitars & Hookers, Yeah baby!
• 76
Terry Glaze- vocals, guitar
Brian Harris - guitar
Taz Bentley - drums
Kinley Wolfe - bass
Have you heard about 76? If you haven't, then you are missing out! The group's performance at La Grange February 17th was one of the best live local gigs to hit the metroplex in some time. Playing before a packed crowd, 76 had the audience eating out of the palm of their hands as they mixed in new songs like "Drive," "Don't Know Why" and "Another One" along with golden oldies.
Band members are familiar veterans to the Dallas music scene. They include drummer Taz Bentley who has played with the Burden Brothers, Reverend Horton Heat, as well as Izzy Stradlin & the Ju Ju Hounds. He’s also a much in-demand session musician. Guitarist Brian Harris has been a mainstay on the DFW circuit since the early eighties with bands like Burlesque, Lord Tracy and Queen For Day. On bass is Kinley Wolfe (aka Barney), one of the best bass slappers to ever grace the DFW music scene. Wolfe has been in Black Oak Arkansas, Lord Tracy, The Cult and American Fuse. He also plays in Club Wood, a local Dallas New Orleans style Jazzy-Blues band. A true master of the bass guitar, his solos are simply amazing. Last but not least is another name familiar to the Dallas music community, vocalist Terry Glaze. For those who are not in the know, Terry was the original singer for metal monsters Pantera, he is the original Cowboy from Glam. He also fronted MCA Records recording artists Tracy Lords. When Tracy Lords was signed, they were forced to change their name to Lord Tracy. Apparently the porn star (Tracy Lords) didn't want the band using her name because it could stain her reputation (wink). A showman and joke-ster, Glaze is a cross between comedian and singer, keep ‘em laughing and always rockin'.
It’s hard to say if 76 is a one-off project for these talented musicians. Given their nomadic history in the business, this veteran group of players can’t be contained in a single unit for long. For the moment, 76 is rocking out the DFW clubs. Whether they perform familiar tunes like Lord Tracy's "East Coast Rose" or some snappy little ditty about some hooker, 76 most definitely rocks. Do yourself a favor and catch them while you can.

Russ Genders - drums

Worth area. The Dangits will be taking off February and most of March to work in their new drummer and writing new material. Writing new material is a priority for The Dangits this year as they hope to begin recording by late spring to release a 12" vinyl in late summer, that's right vinyl. Having access to a home studio set up, The Dangits can take their time and make music their way, the right way.... balls out!
Dallas Rock Band Midnight Empire Out To Make It Big
Debut Release "Everything and Nothing"
• Midnight Empire
Jacob Henderson - Vocals, Guitar
Art Struck - Guitar
Matt Cook - Drums
With a huge sound, smooth grooves and a high energy punch, Midnight Empire sets their path to make it big on a grand scale. With their recent debut release, "Everything and Nothing", recorded at Crystal Clear Studios, ME is gigging around DFW to prove they have what it takes to be noticed in this town. The band recently received local radio airplay & press from DFW rock station, The Eagle 97.1, which quite frankly is not easy to achieve in Big 'D'. The press continues as the Dallas Morning News will include a full spread set to run Thursday, February 23rd.
Having seen Midnight Empire perform live at the War Of Rock event last October, I can honestly say this band has potential The tightness, high energy they poured throughout their showcase was what I would call a REAL Rock and Roll experience!
Catch Midnight Empire Live: March 3rd at Hailey's in Denton, tentatively March 24th at The Prophet Bar, and April 7th at The Boiler Room.
